Veolia Water Technologies UK (VWT UK) has renewed its two-year contract with the NHSSC Framework Agreement for Renal Replacement Therapy. As the only dedicated water treatment provider, VWT UK renal services and products will be listed on the framework, an online database allowing NHS hospitals to purchase consumables & capital equipment such as dialysis machines and water treatment plant.
Renal replacement therapies are used within secondary care and within patient homes to support renal function through dialysis or continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). The NHSSC Framework Agreement for Renal Replacement Therapy includes chronic dialysis equipment, supplies and services, as well as equipment for acute renal care. Currently available on the framework from VWT UK are dialysis quality water treatment systems, certified for use with renal dialysis machines. The use of such systems is essential in the delivery of safe and efficient dialysis for patients.
