SteriWhite Air Q115 is a compact and portable unit, there is a choice of using it as a mobile unit, so floor standing with the supplied feet and it can also be wall mounted. It benefits from having a low running noise of <39 dB so its use in typical ‘quiet areas’ is unnoticeable, the plug and play technology allows immediate air processing and the room can be occupied when doing so, the unit can operate 24/7 and a single unit will treat 115 m3 of air per hour. The Q115 does not contain any HEPA filters as it is designed to function without filtration, instead an intake of ambient air is passed over the two installed UVC lamps, this eliminates the ongoing requirement of consumables, filters etc. Operationally these units have excellent longevity, the Q115 unit has 2 lamps fitted inside which have a typical service life of 16,000 hrs until a change of lamps is required.
The Q115 unit operates using enclosed high energy UVC low pressure lamps, there are no ozone emissions from these and no chemicals are involved. It is the use of UVC and at a wavelength of 254 nm that creates the inactivation of micro-organisms, viruses, bacteria and other mould spores. The inactivation of SARS-CoV-2 viruses is 99.99%.
