Only product in the UK to come with a testing kit to let you know when the product needs to be reapplied
The first product guaranteed to keep surfaces free from Covid-19 for more than 14 days has launched in the UK.
Cleanori is an antimicrobial coating agent that not only kills all coronaviruses and influenza viruses from surfaces treated with it, but it will stay on surfaces for more than two weeks.
A patented testing system allows for a simple five-minute check that treated surfaces are still protected and makes it clear when re-treatment is necessary, thereby avoiding the potential for gaps. The five-minute test involves placing a swab on the surface, which changes colour to indicate whether the surface is still protected or not.
Cleanori has been brought to the UK by the creator of Beyond Theatre, Paul Levin. He came across the product in his search for ways to ensure his new theatre venue concept, the DriveINSIDE Theatre, could be guaranteed to be safe from Covid-19.
“We needed to ensure that audiences would be safe inside our theatres and we were uncomfortable implementing cleaning routines that could not be validated,” explained Paul.
“We could clean an area every hour and although we would THINK it was clean, we could never be certain. We extensively researched the surface protection market and were introduced to a company in Holland, who had a similar mission. In their case they needed a solution to keep their vending and coffee machines free from coronavirus.
“They introduced us to Cleanori, which is the result of a long-term development project led by leading scientist, Volker Barth of Offenbach and it is absolutely the product we were looking for.
“Our theatres have 800 seats and a string of onsite toilet facilities all of which we now know to be COVID safe. We can now spend more of our time producing exciting shows.”
Paul has set up a joint venture with the company in Holland to bring Cleanori to the UK and is making it available for sale to anyone who needs to keep their surfaces free from Covid-19.
“Knowing that our surfaces are protected for such a long time, and that we have a proper way to test that they are protected, gives us greater confidence and peace of mind that our customers are protected,” added Paul.
“The need to test every few days and mainly treat surfaces once every two weeks, instead of every couple of hours, also cuts down on expensive cleaning costs. I have no doubt that this solution will be of great benefit to people working in a variety of industry sectors including hospitality, manufacturing, transport, schools, universities, care homes, hospitals and the emergency services.”
