A pioneering non-invasive neurostimulation technology for chronic insomnia will be showcased on the ABHI UK Pavilion at CMEF 2024, offering a glimpse into the future of healthcare innovation.
Developed by Neurovalens, a UK-based company and global leader in non-invasive neurostimulation, Modius Sleep presents a paradigm shift in the treatment of chronic insomnia. Utilising a battery-powered headset, the device delivers a small and safe electrical pulse to the head, behind the ears, for a period of 30 minutes before bed, during which users can do other activities, such as watching TV or reading.
Developed in the UK and backed by rigorous clinical trials, the innovative approach offers a promising solution for addressing not just symptoms but the underlying causes of insomnia. With its potential to enhance sleep and quality of life without pharmaceuticals, the technology holds great promise for transforming healthcare systems globally, including in China.
As the demand for cutting-edge health technology solutions continues to soar in the region, the ABHI UK Pavilion at CMEF aims to highlight the UK’s longstanding reputation as a world leader in this field.
Over four days, the pavilion will showcase exciting product launches and demonstrations, providing attendees with insights into the latest UK innovations in medical devices, diagnostics and digital health technologies.
Among this year’s exhibitors is UK-based manufacturer Intersurgical, a global leader in high-quality medical devices for respiratory support. Intersurgical will unveil several new patient solutions for respiratory care, including the i-gel® Plus, presenting a significant advancement in supraglottic airway design, along with its environmentally friendly ClearLite™ range of anaesthetic face masks.
Flexicare, a leading designer and global provider of innovative medical devices, will also be amongst the UK companies on the UK Pavilion. At CMEF, Flexicare will showcase products from their expanding portfolio, including a new line of CO2 Absorbents, Peak Flow Meters and asthma management devices to diagnose, assess and train users to improve inhaler technique. The company will also be demonstrating their innovations in Airway Management, Anaesthesia Systems, Ventilator Breathing Systems and Resuscitation.

Held at the National Convention and Exhibition Centre (NECC) Shanghai, the China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) is considered the leading healthcare trade show in China.
CMEF 2024 is taking place from 11-14 April in Shanghai, China. Throughout the event, the ABHI UK Pavilion will be located in Hall 5.2.
