Registration for Diabetes UK Professional Conference 2021 now open

The annual event will take place online from 19 – 30 April 2021

Registration for the 22^nd annual Diabetes UK Professional Conference is now open, and for the first time, the conference is set to take place online. Running from Monday 19 April to Friday 30 April 2021, the CPD accredited conference will bring together diabetes professionals from around the world.

Designed by healthcare professionals and spanning disciplines from primary to specialist care, podiatry, paediatrics and dietetics, the Diabetes UK Professional Conference 2021 will run over ten days, offering bitesize learning during lunchtime and late afternoon slots, showcasing the latest advances across diabetes.

The multi-disciplinary programme features over 60 sessions including seven Named Lectures that will offer exclusive insight into the latest advances in diabetes treatment and care. A combination of live and on-demand sessions offers the flexibility to tailor your own agenda to ensure you don’t miss out.

By registering for this year’s conference, healthcare professionals and researchers will have the chance to hear from inspiring speakers and network with more than 2,000 peers through Professional Interest Group meetings. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss and share learnings via live chat and meetings, and have questions answered by our expert speakers during the live and interactive Q&A within each session.

Attendees will also be able to explore e-posters ranging from basic science, clinical science and education, to clinical care management, healthcare delivery and psychological care.

This year’s keynote lectures will be delivered throughout the conference by leading diabetes specialists, including:

• Emma Wilmot – Consultant Diabetologist, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust
• Sarah Jane Richardson – Associate Professor in Cellular Biomedicine, University of Exeter Medical School
• Neel Basudev – Health Innovation Network (HIN), South London Academic Health Science Network
• Denise Robertson – Reader in Nutritional Physiology, Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences, University of Surrey
