Psyomics has secured an Innovation Loan from Innovate UK as part of its commitment to supporting high-growth potential businesses. The funding marks a major milestone for the UK healthtech scale-up as it accelerates plans to deliver regulated digital mental health technology to the NHS and the wider healthcare market.
This debt finance serves as the catalyst for Psyomics’ most ambitious expansion yet. By accelerating the evolution of its beseen™ platform into a regulated medical device, the company is unlocking unprecedented clinical intelligence that empowers mental healthcare Trusts to intervene earlier, more accurately, and with greater impact than ever before.
“This collaboration recognises Psyomics’ position at the vanguard of healthtech. Together with Innovate UK, we are not just addressing the current crisis in mental health waiting lists; we are building the resilient, intelligent infrastructure required to lead the sector for decades to come.” said Dr. Melinda Rees, CEO of Psyomics.
The programme with Innovate UK, Scaling mental health care through intelligent clinical decision support tools, will bring three new products to market:
Together, the new tools are expected to modernise mental health pathways by reducing paperwork, improving consistency in decision-making and helping overstretched services work more efficiently.
Psyomics projects these innovations will release 85,000 healthcare professional hours and deliver a staggering 13.2x return for the NHS in year one. Already serving over 8 million adults, the company is now poised to set a new global standard for efficient, evidence-based mental health care.
Melinda added: “This loan is a major endorsement of Psyomics’ vision to modernise mental health care through safe, clinically robust digital innovation. It will enable us to place regulated medical devices on the market and bring powerful new capabilities to NHS services that help people access the right support faster.
Just as importantly, it represents investment in a high-growth UK business creating skilled jobs, strengthening health innovation and contributing to the future productivity of the wider economy.”
The loan announcement comes as demand for mental health support continues to rise sharply across adult, children and young people’s services, while providers face sustained workforce shortages and pressure to digitise legacy systems.
Psyomics’ technology aligns closely with national priorities to modernise healthcare, expand community-based support and intervene earlier before needs escalate.
With Innovate UK backing, Psyomics is now positioned to scale its impact across the NHS and beyond, helping clinicians work smarter, services move faster and more people get the mental health care they need, when they need it most. This partnership is the engine for modernising mental health pathways, expanding community-based support, and intervening earlier to change lives.
