Newcross Healthcare – one of Britain’s largest and fastest growing independent healthcare providers – has boosted its complex care service with the launch of its pioneering service dedicated to facilitating care for sick and vulnerable people in their own homes in eight new locations.
The organisation, which currently offers complex care from 19 of its 63 branches, has invested in its own clinical training team, making it possible for more staff to deliver acute clinical care from the patient’s own home, tailored to the patient’s individual needs.
Newcross Healthcare will now deliver this service from its branches in Norwich, Chester, Reading, Woking, Sussex, Kent, Hereford and Worcester. The branches will be seeking to recruit hundreds of new clinical staff and deliver specialist clinical training to those seeking to start a new career in the sector.
The complex care service provided by Newcross Healthcare includes care for a number of conditions such as learning disability support, home ventilation management, palliative care, spinal injury and head injury rehabilitation.
Juliette Millard, Head of Clinical Governance at Newcross Healthcare commented on the expansion of the service.
She said: ”Newcross has over many years invested in specialist clinical training of our nurses and healthcare assistants in order to provide the highest standard of care for the people we care for.”
“Our focus is always on the needs of the individual and therefore we have in place the vital infrastructure and support available, to enable our highly qualified healthcare teams to confidently deliver a tailored programme of care for people who often have unique and unusual care needs.”
“We are delighted to be able to expand this vital at-home service, making it possible for more people to receive acute complex care from the comfort of their own homes.”
Alix Ripley, Head of Business Development at Newcross Healthcare said: “Being able to provide this essential service, allows individuals to continue to live within the comforts of their own home for longer, rather than early admittance into a care home or long stays in hospital.”
“We have seen a marked increase in the need for acute at-home complex care and due to the specialist clinical training available at Newcross, we are able to respond by delivering a highly qualified healthcare team who can provide the best care tailored to the needs of the individual being cared for.”
Established in 1996, Newcross Healthcare has 63 branches and 7000 staff. All staff are carefully selected and serve as permanent employees with guaranteed minimum hours. Through our ongoing investment in clinical governance, technology and staff development, we foster the highest standards of practice and nurture a unique culture of trust and empathy. In our latest survey, nine out of 10 employees said they would recommend Newcross Healthcare to care for their loved ones.
