British businesses have come out in their thousands to offer support to the NHS and emergency services during this pandemic. Big names such as Uber and Airbnb have started initiatives, right down to smaller local businesses selling food or providing transport.
The issue we saw was that there was no one place where all of this information was being collated. It was being tweeted out and lost into the cavernous depths of the internet, never to be seen again or appreciated by those it was meant for. The lack of structured guidance for the public on how they could support was also an issue; many people wanted to help, but simply didn’t know how. We wanted to do something about it. That’s why we created The Pandemic Handbook (TPH).
TPH provides extensive information on the benefits, initiatives, and support available to UK public sector workers during the current pandemic. Doctors, nurses, police, soldiers can all find a large collection of initiatives led by British and international businesses to support them during this time. TPH also provides accurate and detailed information on free parking, special supermarket opening hours, free concerts, Spotify playlists, and more, all updated on a daily basis.
Equally, non-public sector workers can find a regularly updated guide on the support and charitable opportunities available to get stuck into during this crisis.
We hope this resource will make our public service workers’ experience of the pandemic just that little bit easier.
