Concerns around Aerosol Generating Procedures (AGP) are creating potential issues for throughput in most hospitals. Many areas such as lung function, radiology and E.N.T have natural ventilation or very low ACH. Air Sentry® is a modular system than can use a mix of recirculation or managed air to quickly supply increased ACH to any room area.
The system uses an ULPA15 manufactured staged cartridge system certificated to the clean room standard (EN14644 part 3) as H14 (but can be certificated U15 if requested). This offers an assured 100% stop to all pathogens entering the filter which are trapped and quickly deactivated within the filter.
The system has been evolved along side several NHS departments and does not try to reinvent the wheel. It uses tried and tested whole room dilution (it moves air in corners) to maintain room air as Ultraclean™. A fixed system can be installed within a very short time, only requiring a 3A supply and a mobile version is also available.
The picture above shows the mobile unit with a positive pressure module as the sole AHU for a small OR area in London. Air Sentry® can also offer negative pressure and operate without recirculation, including acting as a duct outlet for existing air handling outlets. The system has also been installed for BMS control and be specified to client requirements.
