FREE Workshop, Manchester, 15th November 2022.
Take control of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and improve patient safety
Healthcare-associated infections caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa impact significantly on clinical outcomes for patients and can lead to avoidable deaths. The bacterium is often resistant to a range of antibiotics, a trait that can be passed to other harmful bacteria, exacerbating problems of antimicrobial resistance in hospitals. As well as the human costs, this places a significant burden on already stretched healthcare budgets.
This workshop discusses the issues faced by hospitals, focusing on the importance of Water Safety Plans and risk assessment. Testing water for the bacterium is crucial, and improved approaches to this are also covered.
The workshop will take place at the Holiday Inn Manchester City Centre on Tuesday 15th November and will feature expert speakers Dr. Jimmy Walker, Dr. Susanne Lee and Dr. Paul McDermott.
Places are free of charge and can be registered by contacting Stephen Page at IDEXX Water on 07771 643157 or by email at stephen-page@idexx.com
