Local authority and social care workers offered free access to video consultation technology to assist with COVID-19 response
Refero can safely and easily connect citizens to their social workers, carers and councillors by video call ‘within hours’
Refero, the video consultation firm which connects citizens with the public sector, has announced it would like to offer free usage of its platform to the following public sector bodies to support the local government and social care response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus):
Refero’s video consultation technology, underpinned by Cisco Webex, will be able to have local authorities, social workers and social care teams speaking to citizens within hours, remotely via mobile and desktop devices. They will be able to access the service free for at least 90 days.
Dan Worman, CEO of Refero, explains, “It’s very important that the public have access to care professionals in the safest way possible for all of us, and video consultation is absolutely the best way to provide that. We feel very strongly that access to this should be immediate and free of charge to public services that are facing increased pressures currently. This is a social and moral decision by Refero, not a business one. Please get in touch if you need our help.”
