If you are after a unique training opportunity that gives your apprentices a rounded experience of the areas that make up ‘hospital engineering’, then Eastwood Park’s Hospital engineering apprentice summer school is the ideal solution.
Returning by popular demand once again for August 2019, this week-long programme is specifically designed for engineering apprentices working within the healthcare industry, with practical, technical sessions with leading experts in their fields.
This year, topics covered will include:
This programme is highly relevant to all apprentices developing their roles within healthcare and for others looking to broaden their understanding of multi-healthcare engineering disciplines. It carries City & Guilds accredited programme status, giving apprentices a tangible achievement to take forward into their careers.
Previous summer school learner Shaun Swaby-Larsen recalls his experience of the programme, which was the first time he visited Eastwood Park.
“Back in 2015, my manager recommended I attended Eastwood Park after completing many courses himself. The summer school really opened my eyes to engineering, it was so good to have a taste of everything. It was invaluable – I have been back on 7 courses since!”
Meanwhile, Peter Thomas of Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, who attended the summer school in 2018 commented
“I feel like when I go back into work I will have a much better understanding on the equipment and be much more effective problem solving.”
The summer school runs from 12-16 August 2019 at Eastwood Park’s site in Gloucestershire. It costs £1700 (excluding VAT), which is inclusive of all residential costs for the week.
