desderman® pure hand hygiene gel and liquid are an advanced rapid acting alcohol based hand rub for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection. They are effective against bacteria (E.coli, MRSA) and a wide range of viruses including Norovirus, HIV, HBV and HCV. desderman is virucidal against enveloped viruses, including coronaviruses in 30 seconds.
desderman pure contains emollients and is both colour and perfume free, so even frequent use is gentle on the skin.
A study of hand rubs concluded that desderman was significantly more effective than non-medical hand rubs in terms of reducing bacteria on the hands. [1]
100 g solution of desderman contains the following active ingredients: 78.2 g ethanol 96 %, 0.1 g biphenyl-2-ol.
desderman meets EN1500 for hygienic hand disinfection in 30 seconds, EN12791 for surgical hand disinfection in 90 seconds and EN14476 for virucidal efficacy.
desderman® pure should be used undiluted and sufficient product should be used to ensure that hands are kept moist for the duration of the required contact time.
