Increasing demand for private healthcare services and treatment options in the UK has led to the launch of a new ‘service matching’ app for the public to connect them with reliable healthcare professionals in their locality.
Branded as ‘My Health Assistant’ to the public, the free app allows users to view profiles and reviews and book appointments ‘on the go’ in minutes. Each professional is fully vetted by the UK based team, which has over 45 years’ experience in the medical and customer service industries. Users can also contact them for advice on making their booking and leave reviews to assist the choices of other users.
More than 200 healthcare professionals have joined the ‘MyHA Pro’ support network, which is designed to help healthcare professionals wishing to make the transition to full or partial self-employed working. Removing the admin burden of set-up and advising on aspects such as insurance, finance, legals and PA service, the MyHA Pro ‘virtual office’ makes it simple for workers to start earning through the service.
Over 60 therapeutic areas are covered throughout the UK, ranging from doctors, nurses and counsellors, through to nutritionists, personal trainers, physios, life coaches and many more.
Co-founder, Kate Wild, was inspired to set up the firm after her family struggled to access NHS treatment during lockdown.
Kate said: “During the pandemic it was traumatic for myself and my family to wait for NHS treatment for worrying health conditions. Stress can make illnesses worse and spending just a few hundred pounds, we were able to get rapid diagnoses and a treatment plan that set our minds at rest.
“What’s great about the service is that it opens up an extra income stream for workers such as nurses and carers. It can be a big leap to go self-employed, so we help with the admin duties of setting up a virtual office through our app, which gives our professionals more time helping patients.”
