In a constantly changing industry Future of Care Conference aims to find solutions to the challenges faced in care.
The one-day conference on 3rd March 2020 brings together high profile speakers and panellists from across the adult social care sector to inform and inspire delegates. Returning to The King’s Fund in London for its third year, the event features a programme of talks and a panel debate with leaders from government, charity and private organisations.
Key speakers and panellists include Professor Martin Green OBE, Chief Executive at Care England, Deborah Alsina MBE, Chief Executive at Independent Age, Kate Terroni, Chief Inspector at Care Quality Commission, and many more. Broadcaster, TV personality and journalist, Fiona Phillips will be chairing the event.
New for 2020 are intimate fireside chats with three highly successful leaders from the sector. They will be sharing highlights and challenges from careers rich in experience. Robert D. Kilgour, Executive Chairman of Renaissance Care, will be sharing lessons from 30 years in the industry. Mike Parish, Chair of Care UK, will be exploring evolution of services in the primary and secondary care. Justin Hutchens, CEO of HC-One, will be talking about how US care providers are using technology to ensure residents receive the best care, and sharing other ideas from overseas.
A panel debate and ten talks will allow delegates to hear experts explore topics at the heart of the care sector. Core topics include improving dementia care and the challenges faced by unpaid carers and family members. The challenges of recruiting, training and retaining quality staff will be addressed and how technology can help staff deliver better, and safer, care.
Sustainability and collaboration will also be a hot topic for the day – how do we create a sustainable, collaborative and person-centred care system? Thoughts on how sector partners can work together to fix the continuing funding crisis in the industry will be aired.
Knowledgeable and experienced speakers will be sharing solutions for these challenges and more, helping us all look forward to a brighter future for care in the UK.
Delegates can expect a day of actionable ideas, strategies and solutions for improving the quality of adult social care.
