Blueleaf Care, the nationwide business that helps care homes deliver better outcomes, has been shortlisted at this year’s National Care Awards for its range of innovative plant-based biological cleaning products – n-kind – which the company launched earlier this year.
The n-kind cleaning range, developed by Blueleaf Care’s in-house team, uses powerful biodegradable plant-based ingredients to deliver effective cleaning rather than harmful chemicals found in traditional cleaning products. This means it leaves a smaller carbon footprint and supports the improved well-being of staff and residents.
Don Green, Blueleaf Care’s Business Development Director, is pleased with the independent recognition: “We are really proud of our n-kind cleaning range and of being able to offer our clients opportunities to adopt cleaning with a conscience whilst improving the living and working environments of their homes,” he explains.
“We know that we are helping to reduce their plastic waste and Scope 3 carbon emissions related to the manufacturing, packaging, and transporting of products, and we’re supporting Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessments as homes are able to demonstrate better leadership with the adoption of non-hazardous cleaning products. We are equally proud of those clients who have trusted us and already embraced a new, healthier way of cleaning their home, and I am delighted to hear positive feedback from their staff on the efficacy and the ease of using the n-kind.”
The new range is built around two core solutions that cover most applications throughout the home. Clean15 is a powerful 15-in-1 cleaner and deodoriser, and Elimin8 is a powerful 8-in-1 cleaner and disinfectant. These two concentrate solutions can be used to make 22 different cleaning, deodorising and disinfecting products, freeing up essential storage space and significantly reducing a care home’s environmental impact.
The n-kind product range is complemented by Blueleaf Care’s knowledgeable team, who provide comprehensive training support, share their knowledge and provide best practice guidance to help care homes that are prioritising the safety of people safety and environmental considerations.
Blueleaf Care will find out if it has won the award on 29 November at the prestigious National Care Awards ceremony, which will take place at the London Excel.
